Paint Marrickville Read book box launch

MWPS Principal, Ruth Bradfield-Ling, Mayor Darcy Byrne and other business leaders were special guests at the Paint Marrickville Read Book Box Launch in early September.  Paint Marrickville Read is an early literacy project prompting reading, singing and drawing with babies from birth.  At the book box launch business leaders from around Marrickville came together to choose a book box full of donated books to have in their businesses for customers and clients to read whilst waiting.  Various cafe's, real estate agents and government offices around Marrickville will now have a book box ready for families visiting.  Marrickville West Primary is a supporter of the Paint Marrickville Read project as we know the importance of good basic literacy skills before school starts.
